Baby bonnet pattern- Béguin de Printemps by Julie Partie

Baby bonnet

A few days ago I finished this cute baby bonnet.
I made it for my friend’s baby Mika. She’s 3 weeks old now 🙂
The pattern is called Béguin de Printemps, the designer is Julie Partie. I found it for free on Ravelry.
I used 3.75 mm needle instead of the recommended 3.5mm, but I hope it will fit, even if it’s slightly bigger than the original, Mika was born a big baby 😀 My baby was a month old when he reached her newborn weight.
It is very well explained how to knit it and it’s a fast pattern. Well, of course, it’s a baby hat, it can’t be very slow:D
The yarn I used is Nako Calico, 50% cotton and 50% acrylic. It’s very soft and nice to touch. I am a little afraid to use animal fibres on babies, though I know merino is hypo allergenic, but still…
To finish the pattern, Julie recommends a knit i-cord. I made it with a crochet cord, as I wanted to finish it faster. I think it looks ok with the crochet cord too:)

it’s such a pretty pattern, with a certain vintage look. Thank you for sharing at The Really Crafty Link Party, and enjoy the rest of your week. Pinned.

Thank you, Teresa, I loved the vintage look of it and that’s why I chose the pattern <3 🙂
