I saw the Cloud slippers pattern a few days ago and thought that it would be perfect for my RILA yarn.

Rila is 60% wool/40% acrylic, 110 m (120 yds) per 100 gr. That’s less bulky than the yarn used in the pattern Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Solids. Ooops, I thought the pattern was with Malabrigo, and I may have mentioned it in the podcast. Sorry. Anyway, because the yarn is less bulky, I had to recalculate.
I started with casting on for the largest size, but it was not big enough. In the end I decided to cast on 30 stitches instead of 22 and that worked.
For the bind off row, I binded off 9, and then in the next row I worked 5 knits, 11 purls, 5 knits. It worked perfectly.

The pattern is very easy. It’s written well, and there are schematics on how to sew your slippers.
I am even thinking of making a few more pairs for the charity campaign this year. 🙂
