I am very happy to announce the release of my Deer in the Woods pattern!:)

Do you know these moments when you spend hours and hours working in the big city, but you dream of the calmness of a log cabin in the woods? This knit in the round cowl was designed to remind you of nature, with its slip stitches forming the deer and purl stitches making the pine trees.

This is a one size cowl with final measurements after blocking 35 cm wide (70cm in the round) and 22 cm height. To make it wider or taller, add more repeats of the chart in width (starting from cast on) or height. A chart repeat is 15 sts wide and 12 rows tall.

What you’ll need to make it:

Yarn

2 balls of Lana Gatto Super Soft
or 100 grams/250 m, 3.53 oz/273 yards of a merino
DK yarn

Needles

5 mm/US 8 circular needles (80 cm/32 inch long), or
size to obtain gauge

Gauge

Blocked square of stockinette stitch
10 x 10 cm/4 x 4 inch = 17 st x 22 rows
Gauge is not crucial to this project, but varying
gauges will affect yardage and final measurements.

An optional stitch marker for the beginning of the row
