Hello!
Ladder hat is my amazing new free knitting pattern. It’s very easy and it will make wonderful gift for a winter birthday or even Christmas. It contains only knits and purls, so it is a good hat for beginners 😉 And once you memorize it, Ladder hat is a great Netflix knit too 😀

Materials:
Bulky yarn – the one I used is 120m/100gr, 50% Merino, 50% Acrylic, I used 75 gr
6.5 mm needles
tapestry needle
pompom
Notions
k – knit
p – purl
p2tog – purl 2 together
k2tog – knit 2 together
Pattern:
With long tail cast on, cast on 64 stitches. Divide on 2 needles for magic loop.
1 round: *k2, p6* to the end of the row – 64 st. (8 repeats)
2 round: k to the end of the row – 64 st.
3 round: *k2, p6* to the end of the row – 64 st.
4 round: k to the end of the row – 64 st.
5 round: *k2, p6* to the end of the row – 64 st.
6 round: k to the end of the row – 64 st.
7 round: k to the end of the row – 64 st.
Repeat these 7 rounds 5 more times, 6 times in total.
Crown of the hat:
1 round: *k2, p4, p2tog* to the end of the row – 56 st.
2 round: k to the end of the row – 56 st
3 round: *k2, p3, p2tog* to the end of the row – 48 st.
4 round: k to the end of the row – 48 st
5 round: *k2, p2, p2tog* to the end of the row – 40 st.
6 round: k to the end of the row – 40 st
7 round: k to the end of the row – 40 st
8 round: *k2, p1, p2tog* to the end of the row – 32 st
9 round: k to the end of the row – 32 st
10 round: *k2, p2tog* to the end of the row – 24 st
11 round: *k2tog, p* to the end of the row – 16 st
Cut a long string of yarn and pull it through the remaining stitches.
Attach a pom pom, weave in the ends and your Ladder hat is done! 🙂
