I made this blanket for one of my best friends – Vesi. She bought an appartment 3 years ago and moved in about a month ago. I decided to make her a blanket for a housewarming gift 😉
It is made with single crochets and double crochet, and it has a bit of texture due to yarn hold with 3 strands. It can be done with a solid color bulky weight yarn, of course.
Materials:
For a 110 cm x125cm blanket (with border)
Main colour:
Alize Superlana Long Batik – 3 balls, 600 m
Contrast colour:
Nako Luks Minos – 440 gr, 1480 m (6 balls, about 140 gr left), held with 3 strands
1 crochet hook – 8mm, size L
Notions:
sc = single crochet
dc= double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
MC = main colour
CC= contrast colour
Pattern:
If you’re using the recommended or similar yarns. when you see CC, hold 3 strands of the CC yarn. If you’re using a bulky weight for CC, you do not need to hold 3 strands.
With MC Chain 112.
1st row: sc in 2nd from last, sc to the end, chain&turn
2nd row: sc to the end, chain and turn
3d row: sc to the end, chain and turn
4th row: sc to the end, chain and turn
Add CC:
5th row: dc to the end, chain and turn

2nd row: sc to the end, chain and turn
Keep on crocheting until you reach a little bit less than desired length.
Finish with block 1 and continue:
1 row: dc to the end, chain and turn
And then crochet Block 1.
Cut your yarn and begin border.
1st border row: sc all around your blanket. On corners do 2 sc in 1 st., sl st in the end
2nd border row: dc all around your blanket, on corners do 2 dc in 1 st, sl st in the end
3d border row: sc all around your blanket. On corners do 2 sc in 1 st., sl st in the end
Weave in the ends and enjoy your new blanket <3
